Meiji Competition

HOW DO I WIN?
Meiji Competition

  • Purchase and collect 5 barcodes, 10 barcodes or 15 barcodes from any pack of Meiji’s biscuit range (Hello Panda and/or Yan Yan) between Monday 19th September 2011 to Friday 2nd December 2011.
  • You are then required to post the barcodes to the Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd office head office, in addition to contact details (name, address, phone, email).
  • The first 500 entries to post in 5 barcodes or more to the Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd office will receive a mini leather Rugby ball from Meiji. The ball is valued at $5 each.
  • The first 200 entries to post in 10 barcodes to the Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd office will receive a $20 Westfield Gift Card.
  • The first 100 entries to post in 15 barcodes to the Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd office will receive a $40 Woolworths Wish Gift Card.

Please note the total prizes to be given away include 500 mini leather Rugby balls, 200 x $20 Westfield Gift Cards and 100 x $40 Woolworths Wish Gift Cards. Therefore, the prizes are subject to a first come, first serve basis and therefore may run out. However all entries received will go into the draw to win 1 of 4 ipad 2’s.

  • All valid entries will also go into the draw to win one (1) of four (4) Apple IPads 2’s.
  • Entries will be put in a barrel and will be selected randomly where there will be four (4) winners who will each receive an Apple IPad2.
  • Prize winners will be randomly selected. The total prize pool is $12,900. Prizes totals include the four (4) Apple 32GB iPad2 with Wi-Fi $2,400 ($600 each), two hundred (200) $20 Westfield Gift Cards at $4,000, one hundred (100) $40 Woolworths Wish Gift Card at $4,000 and five hundred (500) mini leather Rugby ball from Meiji at $2,500 ($5 each).

The winner(s) will be randomly selected at Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd, Building D1/16 Mars Rd Lane Cove NSW 2066, Australia. There will be four draws taken (each draw will select one winner to receive an Apple IPad).

  • 19 November 2011 at 9am
  • 26 November 2011 at 9am
  • 3 December 2011 at 9am

ANY ENTRIES RECEIVED AFTER 5PM ON THE 2 DECEMBER 2011 WILL NOT BE INCLUDED IN THE DRAW AND NO RESPONSIBILITY IS TAKEN BY THE PROMOTER FOR ENTRIES NOT RECEIVED BY THIS DATE. THE PROMOTER IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ENTRIES INCORRECTLY COMPLETED/SUBMITTED.

Entry is open only to Australian residents who purchase and collect 5 barcodes, 10 barcodes or 15 barcodes from any pack of Meiji’s biscuit range (Hello Panda and/or Yan Yan) and post them to the Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd office between 9am 19th of September to 5pm  2nd of December 2011. However, employees and their immediate families of Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd and their associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.

The competition has 2 tiers:
Tier 1

  • Purchase and collect 5 barcodes from any pack of Meiji’s biscuit range (Hello Panda and/or Yan Yan) and post them to Japan Food Corp between 9am 19 September 2011 to 5pm 2 December 2011. Contact details such as name, address, phone and email details will also need to be sent.
  • The first 500 entries to post the 5 barcodes to Japan Food Corp will receive a mini leather Rugby ball from Meiji. 
  • Purchase and collect 10 barcodes from any pack of Meiji’s biscuit range (Hello Panda and/or Yan Yan) and post them to Japan Food Corp between 9am 19 September 2011 to 5pm 2 December 2011. Contact details such as name, address, phone and email details will also need to be sent.
  • The first 200 entries to post the 10 barcodes to Japan Food Corp will receive a $20 Westfield Gift Card.
  • Purchase and collect 15 barcodes from any pack of Meiji’s biscuit range (Hello Panda and/or Yan Yan) and post them to Japan Food Corp between 9am 19 September 2011 to 5pm 2 December 2011. Contact details such as name, address, phone and email details will also need to be sent.
  • The first 100 entries to post the 15 barcodes to Japan Food Corp will receive a $40 Woolworths Wish Gift Card.

 

Tier 2

  • Purchase and collect at least 5 barcodes from any pack of Meiji’s biscuit range (Hello Panda and/or Yan Yan) and post them to Japan Food Corp between 9am 19 September 2011 to 5pm 2 December 2011. Contact details such as name, address, phone and email details will also need to be sent.
  • All valid entries will go into the draw to win one (1) of four (4) Apple IPad 2’s, including all entries from Tier 1.
  • The four (4) winners will each win an Apple 32GB iPad2 with Wi-Fi, valued at $600. The prize cannot be exchanged for cash.

 

  • The total prize pool is $12,900. Prizes totals include the four (4) Apple 32GB iPad2 with Wi-Fi at $2,400 ($600 each), two hundred (200) $20 Westfield at $4,000, one hundred (100) $40 Woolworths Wish Gift Cards and five hundred (500) mini leather Rugby balls from Meiji at $2,500 ($5 each).
  • If for some unforeseeable reason that Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd can not award the prizes as described, they will substitute it for another prize of comparable value.

 

  • The winners will be randomly selected at Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd, Building D1/16 Mars Rd Lane Cove NSW 2066, Australia. There will be four draws taken (each draw will select one winner to receive an IPad2). Entries close the day before each draw date at 6pm. Draw dates are as follows:

12 November 2011 at 9am
19 November 2011 at 9am
26 November 2011 at 9am
3 December 2011 at 9am

  • The winner(s) will be notified by phone and in writing by 12 December 2011 and the winners details will be published in the Australian on the 14th December and on the Promoter’s website www.meiji.com.au/index.html for the period of one month from 14th December 2011.

 

The Promoter may conduct a redraw at 9am on 3rd March 2012 at Japan Food Corp (Aust) Pty Ltd, Building D1/16 Mars Rd Lane Cove NSW 2066, Australia, if the winner(s) is ineligible for a Prize or if a Prize is unclaimed. The winner will be notified by phone and in writing (by 5th March 2012) and the winner’s details will be published in the Australian on the 6th March and on the Promoter’s website www.meiji.com.au/index.html for the period of one month from 6th March 2012. Entries from each draw will be rolled over.

  • The claiming and collection of the Prize by the winner will be subject to security and verification checks at the absolute discretion of the Promoter.

 

  • To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter, and employees and any other agencies involved in the competition shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered, sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential) in relation to, arising out of, or in connection with this competition and/or its prize.
  • All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter’s decision on all matters pertaining to this competition is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

  • All entries will be entered into a database and the Promoter and /or the Promoters' sponsors/agents may use the entrants' names and contact details for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid unless otherwise advised by the entrant. The entrants are aware that by entering the competition they will benefit from promotional information communicated to them from the Promoter at any time.
  • All entrants agree to the use of their name, address and photograph for promotional, marketing and publicity purposes, including television, internet, radio and any other forms of media as required, without compensation.

 

  • Any entries received after 5pm 2 December 2011 will not be included in the draw and no responsibility is taken by the Promoter for entries not received by this date.
  • The Promoter is not responsible for entries incorrectly completed/submitted.

 

  • Entrants’ personal information (“PI") is collected to enable the Promoter to administer and promote this competition and its winner. The PI of winners may be provided to others to assist in administration of the Program including the supply and fulfillment of the prize. The winners’ PI will be retained by the Promoter for only as long as required by law. Inc certain circumstances, the winner’s PI may be provided to regulatory authorities upon request. Entrants may contact the Promoter at the address given below to request access to any of their collected PI.
